Dutch Authority Flevoland has signed an agreement with Roxen Internet Software for the development of their Intranet and Extranet sites.

Dutch Authority Flevoland has signed an agreement with Roxen Internet Software for the development of their Intranet and Extranet sites. Roxen CMS will be deployed across Flevoland as part of the authorities strategic crisis prevention unit providing valuable crisis communications within the region of Flevoland.

The Authority of Flevoland will use Roxen's CMS software for their intranet and extranet. The sites will go live by the beginning of 2003. The intranet, based on Roxen CMS will make it much easier for the employees of Flevoland to share information and knowledge in an intuitive way. Employees will now have much greater accessibility to relevant information on an individual level, creating greater interactivity and better visibility. The extranet will provide a secured information exchange based on web protocols. A total of 12 Regional crisis units will use and work with the extranet based on Roxen's CMS.

According to Leo Wennen, IT manager at Province Flevoland Roxen's CMS was chosen because it is a packaged solution that does not demand additional applications. Roxen's out-of-the-box solution allows new sites to be completed on time whilst offering open standards like xml and Java. "We can run it on any platform we like". Roxen CMS will streamline the organsations information process, development and maintenance lowering our Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Roxen CMS makes it possible to decentralise responsibilities for information update whilst automating quality assurance processes (publishing workflows). Roxen also enables safe execution of parallel development projects by providing the site configuration management tools (such as version control and teamwork support). Roxen CMS will cut down on development work by offering us a solution with strong site functionality such as access control, a template's, and a rich set of high-level components for standard tasks.
