Bonnier Tidskrifter standardises on Roxen CMS

Bonnier Tidskrifter has after a thorough evaluation of CM/publishing tools chosen the Roxen CMS product from Roxen Internet Software to manage the content of its websites more efficiently.

Bonnier Tidskrifter has during the past years used a number of solutions to build and maintain its websites. About 20 magazines, for example Veckans Affärer, Teknikens Värld, Resumé, Allt om Resor, Sköna Hem etc. are represented on the web. A comprehensive evaluation of no less than 120 Web Content Management products was initiated to minimise the costs to update the contents of those websites. The most suitable product for the purpose was quickly found thanks to the well defined requirements and the very structured evaluation process.

"Some of the crucial requirements met by Roxen are that the system is both easy to get started with as well as being a complete development platform for more advanced functionality", says Krister Berntsson, responsible for the evaluation at Bonnier Tidskrifter. "Further more, Roxen is considered to have a solid understanding of the authors demands on the interface and graphical management as well as providing the possibility to work regardless of geographical location, since Roxen kan be operated from any browser. Finally, the support for different kinds of clients is very important, where Mac is one of these."

It is a long-term initiative, and the first project starts immediately for one selected magazine. The purpose is that the structure, functionality and experience can be reused for the other magazines, which drastically reduces total development time. Costs will also be saved after deployment, since less time is required by the authors to do updates and more time is freed to create new content.

"The cooperation with Bonnier provides additional proof that the product is acknowledged within a number of businesses, where Roxen assists to keep the quality and performance at the top, as well as cutting maintenance costs", says Emil Danielsson, CEO, Roxen Internet Software AB.

Roxen launched Roxen CMS version 3.4 earlier this year, including new interfaces and a number of new modules to further reduce development time for common web functionality.
