Roxen CMS 4.5 announced

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

1 December 2005

On the first day of the 2005 Roxen CMS User Conference in Stockholm, Sweden, Roxen Internet Software announced the next major upgrade of their content management product – Roxen CMS 4.5.

Roxen Internet Software kicked off the 2005 Roxen CMS User Conference by announcing a major upgrade to the Roxen CMS content management product. Version 4.5 builds on the successful version 4.0 which has been used in major web site projects in Europe and US during the past year.

Roxen CMS 4.5 strengthens the product in four key areas:

  • User Interface – The new version simplifies page editing by offering more direct access to editing interfaces as well as new additions such as a sidebar panel. These changes will bring significant time savings to all content editors.
  • Basic Site – The bundled web site that acts as a starting point for new projects is greatly enhanced, notably in its CSS support. It also includes more ready-made web applications.
  • New Functionality – The page editor has been extended with a smart clipboard for page components. Among the new and improved modules the totally redesigned Forms & Response is a highlight. Also noteworthy is the new RSS Feed Import module, a more capable Forum module and a new Microsoft Windows installer.
  • Low-Level Improvements – Core parts of the product have been updated. For example, an improved Active Directory import module and a new IP-based user authentication module are part of the upgrade.

The new version is targeted for an early 2006 release. It will be made available to existing Roxen CMS customers at no extra cost as part of standard support and maintenance agreements.
